Aram Poladian

Aram Poladian (1997) faz parte da terceira geração de armênios no Brasil.  
O primeiro contato com a arte foi através de animações, jogos, revistas e, posteriormente, na faculdade de design. No estúdio, explora pintura e desenho, incorporando elementos da “armenidade” às composições inventivas uma mistura entre o real e o simbólico.

A partir da experiência da diáspora armênia e das vivências nesta comunidade, constrói obras que investigam os símbolos religiosos e políticos armênios, paralelamente às referências do contexto urbano e ultra globalizado da metrópole de São Paulo, onde vive e trabalha.

Em obras recentes, a fotografia é o ponto de partida: um exercício de resgate das histórias familiares em meio à incerteza da conjuntura global e aos conflitos nas regiões fronteiriças da Armênia. Neste processo, o artista também ministra oficinas que expandem a criação de comunidade e permitem que um público mais amplo acesse o debate sobre diáspora, guerra, memória e cultura.

Aram Poladian (1997) is part of the third generation of Armenians in Brazil.
The first contact with art was through animations, games, magazines and later in college studying design. At the studio explores painting and drawing, where elements of “Armenianhood” are incorporated in inventive compositions, a mix of reality with symbolism. 

From the experiences in the Armenian diaspora and the life in this community, he creates pieces that investigate both religious and political symbols, while simultaneously considering references from the urban context and the highly globalized metropolis of São Paulo, where he lives and works.

In recent works, photography is the starting point: an exercise in rescuing family histories amidst the uncertainty of the global situation and the conflicts in the border regions of Armenia. Also in this process, the artist conducts workshops that expand community building and allow a wider audience to access the debate on diaspora, war, memory, and culture.
